Scoring
Scoring
A game consists of 4 hands. Entering a bid counts as a hand.
If you make your bid then the points will be added to your SN ( SouthNorth ) score.
At the end of the 4th hand, the highest score ( EW, or SN ), will be the winner of the game.
At BidWhist.net You always have the bid, so, your opponents, the EW (EastWest), will earn points when:
The bid is not made ( you were 'set' ) - then points will be added to the EW (EastWest) score.
------------------------------------------------
Note** The points are given to the EW on the bid; then the points are adjusted/added after the bid is made.
For example a four bid will give the EW team 4 points , then when the bid is " made" the points will be updated to move the points to the SN team.
So, if the bid is not made (set), or the hand is thrown-in (by clicking deal) then the points will remain with the EW team.
The game will reset after the 4th hand is played.
----------------------------
Variations, the game is based on the following variations:
Two Jokers, B – for Big, L – for Little.
Six (6) card Kitty. Jokers are swapped for discards on "No Trump" bid.
Kitty is not sported ( made available) to the program modules .
